Vector.StringsToValues Method

Overload List

#SignatureDescription
1procedure StringsToValues(aList: TStrings);Convert strings in aList to double or TCplx.
2function StringsToValues(aList: TStrings; ListIndex: Integer; Index: Integer; Len: Integer): TVec;Convert strings in aList to double (TCplx) starting at ListIndex.

Overload 1: procedure StringsToValues(aList: TStrings);

Convert strings in aList to double or TCplx.

#NameTypeDescription
1aListTStrings

Result: stored in self (calling object)

Remarks:

Convert strings in aList to complex/real values and store them in the Values array of the calling vector. If any of the strings represent a complex value, then the Vector.Complex property is set to True and strings are converted by using the Math387.StrToCplx function. The Vector.Length of the calling vector is set to aList.Count.

Examples
var a,b: Vector;
begin
    a.SetIt(False,[1,2,3,4]);
    a.cos;
    b.Size(a);
    b.SetVal(1);
    a := a + b; //a.Add(b);
    Richedit1.Clear;
    Memo1.Clear;
    a.ValuesToStrings(Richedit1.Lines);
    b.ValuesToStrings(Richedit1.Lines);
    a.ValuesToStrings(Memo1.Lines);
    b.ValuesToStrings(Memo1.Lines);
    Memo1.Lines.SaveToFile('C:\Test.txt');
    Memo1.Lines.LoadFromFile('C:\Test.txt');
    a.StringsToValues(Memo1.Lines);
end;

Overload 2: function StringsToValues(aList: TStrings; ListIndex: Integer; Index: Integer; Len: Integer): TVec;

Convert strings in aList to double (TCplx) starting at ListIndex.

#NameTypeDescription
1aListTStrings
2ListIndexInteger
3IndexIntegerstart index
4LenIntegerelement count

Result: stored in self (calling object), returns self for chaining

Remarks:

Store them in the Values array of the calling vector from Index to Index+Len-1. If strings represent complex numbers, then the complex property must be True or an exception is raised. The Length property of the calling vector is not changed. If array bounds are overrun and exception is raised.
