Vector.Sec Method

Overload List

#SignatureDescription
1function Sec: TMtxVec;Secant.
└ indexed: function Sec(Index: Integer; Len: Integer): TMtxVec;
2function Sec(const X: TMtxVec): TMtxVec;Calculate the secant of all X object elements.
└ indexed: function Sec(const X: TMtxVec; XIndex: Integer; Index: Integer; Len: Integer): TMtxVec;

Overload 1: function Sec: TMtxVec;

Secant.

Result: stored in self (calling object), returns self for chaining

Remarks:

Calculate the secant of all caling object elements in-place.

Examples
var a: Vector;
begin
    a.SetIt(True,[1,-2,3,4]);
    a.Sec; // Computes complex secant
end;
var
    a, expected: Vector;
begin
    a := [0.0, 0.523598775598299, 0.785398163397448, 1.0471975511966];
    a.Sec;
    expected := [1.0, 1.15470053837925, 1.41421356237309, 2.0];
    if not a.IsEqual(expected, 1e-10, TCompare.cmpAbsolute) then
        raise Exception.Create('Vector.Sec: mismatch');
end;
See Also: Vector.ArcSec, Vector.Csc

Indexed: function Sec(Index: Integer; Len: Integer): TMtxVec;

Calculate the secant of calling object elements [Index]...[Index+Len-1] in-place.

#NameTypeDescription
1IndexIntegerstart index
2LenIntegerelement count

Result: stored in self (calling object), returns self for chaining

Remarks:

An exception is raised if array borders are overrun.

Overload 2: function Sec(const X: TMtxVec): TMtxVec;

Calculate the secant of all X object elements.

#NameTypeDescription
1XTMtxVec

Result: stored in self (calling object), returns self for chaining

Remarks:

Store the results in the calling object. Size and Vector.Complex properties of calling object are adjusted automatically.

Examples
var
    a, x, expected: Vector;
begin
    x := [0.0, 0.523598775598299, 0.785398163397448, 1.0471975511966];
    a.Sec(x);
    expected := [1.0, 1.15470053837925, 1.41421356237309, 2.0];
    if not a.IsEqual(expected, 1e-10, TCompare.cmpAbsolute) then
        raise Exception.Create('Vector.Sec: mismatch');
end;

Indexed: function Sec(const X: TMtxVec; XIndex: Integer; Index: Integer; Len: Integer): TMtxVec;

Calculate the secant of X object elements [XIndex]...[XIndex+Len-1].

#NameTypeDescription
1XTMtxVec
2XIndexIntegerX start index
3IndexIntegerstart index
4LenIntegerelement count

Result: stored in self (calling object), returns self for chaining

Remarks:

The results are stored in calling object elements [Index]...[Index+Len-1]. Size and Vector.Complex properties of the calling object must be set explicitly. An exception is raised if array borders are overrun.
