Overload List

#SignatureDescription
1TMtxVec TanTangens.
└ indexed: TMtxVec Tan(Int32 Index, Int32 Len)
2TMtxVec Tan(TMtxVec X)Calculate the tangens of all X object elements.
└ indexed: TMtxVec Tan(TMtxVec X, Int32 XIndex, Int32 Index, Int32 Len)

Overload 1: TMtxVec Tan

Tangens.

Result: stored in self (calling object), returns self for chaining

Remarks:

Calculate the tangens of all caling object elements in-place.

Examples
Vector a = new Vector();
a.SetIt(new double[] { 0.0, 0.523598775598299, 0.785398163397448, 1.0471975511966 });
a.Tan();
Vector expected = new Vector();
expected.SetIt(new double[] { 0.0, 0.577350269189626, 1.0, 1.73205080756888 });
if (!a.IsEqual(expected, 1e-10, TCompare.cmpAbsolute))
    throw new Exception("Vector.Tan: mismatch");
Vector a;
a.SetIt(true,new double[] {1,-2,3,4});
a.Tan; // Computes complex tangens
See Also: Vector.ArcTan, Vector.ArcTan2

Indexed: TMtxVec Tan(Int32 Index, Int32 Len)

Calculate the tangens of calling object elements [Index]...[Index+Len-1] in-place.

#NameTypeDescription
1IndexInt32start index
2LenInt32element count

Result: stored in self (calling object), returns self for chaining

Remarks:

An exception is raised if array borders are overrun.

Overload 2: TMtxVec Tan(TMtxVec X)

Calculate the tangens of all X object elements.

#NameTypeDescription
1XTMtxVecsource TVec or TMtx

Result: stored in self (calling object), returns self for chaining

Remarks:

Xtore the results in the calling object. Size and Dew.Math.Vector.Complex properties of calling object are adjusted automatically.

Examples
Vector a = new Vector();
Vector x = new Vector();
x.SetIt(new double[] { 0.0, 0.523598775598299, 0.785398163397448, 1.0471975511966 });
a.Tan(x);
Vector expected = new Vector();
expected.SetIt(new double[] { 0.0, 0.577350269189626, 1.0, 1.73205080756888 });
if (!a.IsEqual(expected, 1e-10, TCompare.cmpAbsolute))
    throw new Exception("Vector.Tan: mismatch");

Indexed: TMtxVec Tan(TMtxVec X, Int32 XIndex, Int32 Index, Int32 Len)

Calculate the tangens of X object elements [XIndex]...[XIndex+Len-1].

#NameTypeDescription
1XTMtxVecsource TVec or TMtx
2XIndexInt32X start index
3IndexInt32start index
4LenInt32element count

Result: stored in self (calling object), returns self for chaining

Remarks:

The results are stored in calling object elements [Index]...[Index+Len-1]. Size and Dew.Math.Vector.Complex properties of the calling object must be set explicitly. An exception is raised if array borders are overrun.
