TSparseMtx.ArcSin Method

Overload List

#SignatureDescription
1TMtxVec ArcSinThe inverse sine.
└ indexed: TMtxVec ArcSin(Int32 Index, Int32 Len)
2TMtxVec ArcSin(TMtxVec X)Calculate the inverse sine of all X object elements.
└ indexed: TMtxVec ArcSin(TMtxVec X, Int32 XIndex, Int32 Index, Int32 Len)

Overload 1: TMtxVec ArcSin

The inverse sine.

Result: stored in self (calling object), returns self for chaining

Remarks:

Calculate the inverse sine of all calling object elements in-place. Values must be between -1 and 1. The return values will be in the range [0,Dew.Math.Units.Math387.PI], in radians.

Examples
Matrix a = new Matrix();
a.SetIt(2, 2, false, new double[] { 0.0, 0.5, 0.707106781186548, 0.866025403784439 });
a.ArcSin();
Matrix expected = new Matrix();
expected.SetIt(2, 2, false, new double[] { 0.0, 0.523598775598299, 0.785398163397448, 1.0471975511966 });
if (!a.IsEqual(expected, 1e-10, TCompare.cmpAbsolute))
    throw new Exception("Matrix.ArcSin: mismatch");
Matrix a;
Matrix b;
a.SetIt(1,2, true,new double[] {1,-0.5,0.11,0.9});
a.ArcSin;  //or
b = ArcSin(a);  //or
a = ArcSin(a);

Indexed: TMtxVec ArcSin(Int32 Index, Int32 Len)

Calculate the inverse sine of calling object elements [Index]...[Index+Len-1] in-place.

#NameTypeDescription
1IndexInt32start index
2LenInt32element count

Result: stored in self (calling object), returns self for chaining

Remarks:

An exception is raised if array borders are overrun.

Overload 2: TMtxVec ArcSin(TMtxVec X)

Calculate the inverse sine of all X object elements.

#NameTypeDescription
1XTMtxVecsource TVec or TMtx

Result: stored in self (calling object), returns self for chaining

Remarks:

Store the results in the calling object. Size and Dew.Math.TMtxVec.Complex properties of calling object are adjusted automatically.

Examples
Matrix a = new Matrix();
Matrix x = new Matrix();
x.SetIt(2, 2, false, new double[] { 0.0, 0.5, 0.707106781186548, 0.866025403784439 });
a.ArcSin(x);
Matrix expected = new Matrix();
expected.SetIt(2, 2, false, new double[] { 0.0, 0.523598775598299, 0.785398163397448, 1.0471975511966 });
if (!a.IsEqual(expected, 1e-10, TCompare.cmpAbsolute))
    throw new Exception("Matrix.ArcSin: mismatch");

Indexed: TMtxVec ArcSin(TMtxVec X, Int32 XIndex, Int32 Index, Int32 Len)

Calculate the inverse sine of X object elements [XIndex]...[XIndex+Len-1].

#NameTypeDescription
1XTMtxVecsource TVec or TMtx
2XIndexInt32X start index
3IndexInt32start index
4LenInt32element count

Result: stored in self (calling object), returns self for chaining

Remarks:

The results are stored in calling object elements [Index]...[Index+Len-1]. Size and Dew.Math.TMtxVec.Complex properties of the calling object must be set explicitly. An exception is raised if array borders are overrun.
