Probabilities.NegBinomCDF Method

Overload List

#SignatureDescription
1void NegBinomCDF(TMtxVecInt X, Double R, Double P, TDenseMtxVec Res)Negative binomial distribution CDF (vectorized).
2Double NegBinomCDF(Int32 x, Double R, Double p)Negative binomial cumulative distribution function (CDF).

Overload 1: void NegBinomCDF(TMtxVecInt X, Double R, Double P, TDenseMtxVec Res)

Negative binomial distribution CDF (vectorized).

#NameDescription
1XDefines distribution domain, vector or matrix with integer values.
2RDefines number of successes, positive integer.
3PDefines probability of each trial, real value on closed interval [0,1].
4ResAfter calculation stores the CDF calculated from X, R and P Length and Complex properties of Res are adjusted automatically to match Length and Complex properties of X.

Result: stored in self (calling object)

Overload 2: Double NegBinomCDF(Int32 x, Double R, Double p)

Negative binomial cumulative distribution function (CDF).

#NameDescription
1xFunction domain, non-negative integer.
2RNumber of successes, real positive value (R>0).
3pSuccess probability of each trial, real value on the closed interval [0,1].

Returns: Double - the negative binomial cumulative distribution function (CDF) at x using parameters R and p. Returns NAN when x<0, p is outside [0,1] or R<=0.

Remarks:

Computes the negative binomial CDF P(X <= x):

CDF(x| R,p)=sum_(j=0)^x(Gamma(R+j))/(Gamma(j+1) Gamma(R)) p^R (1-p)^j

Domain: x >= 0, R>0, p in [0,1]. For x<0, R <= 0 or p not in [0,1] the result is NaN.
